Ingredients

2 tbsp yeast
2 c. warm water
3 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp salt
5 tb. Crisco
6 c. Flour

Cooking Instructions

Soak yeast in 1/2 c. warm water. Melt shortening in warm water and cool. Add sugar and salt to mixture. Add 1/2 c. flour, mixing well. Add remainder of flour and beat well. Stir down every 10 min., 5 times. Divide dough in 1/2, rolling each oblong and put on cookie sheet. Make 3 slashes on dough and raise till double.

Bake at 400 for 35 minutes.
