Ingredients

2 c. milk
3/4 c. sugar
8 tsp salt
3/4 c. margarine (1 1/2 cubes)
6 c. warm water
4 pkg. yeast (4 tbsp)
24 c. flour

Cooking Instructions

Scald milk, stir in sugar, salt & margarine. Cool to lukewarm. Measure warm water & sprinkle yeast in. Stir until dissolved. Add milk mixture & 12 c. of Hour. Beat with mixer until smooth. Add enough flour to make stiff dough. Tum out & knead until smooth & elastic, about 10—12 minutes. Place in greased bowl, turning to grease l0p. Cover, let rise in warm place free from draft until doubled. Punch down. Cover, let rest 15 minutes. Divide into 6 equal parts & shape into loaves. Cover pans loosely with towel and let rise until double in bulk. Bake in preheated 400 oven about 30 minutes or till done. Remove from pans & cool on rack.
