Ingredients

2 cans (6 1/2 oz) clams
1 c. chopped celery
1 c. chopped onion
3/4 c butter
2 c. chopped potatoes
1 qt half & half or 1 pt. half & half & 1 pt milk
3/4 c flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
pepper
1 tbsp Heinz 57 sauce OR 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Cooking Instructions

Drain juice from clams, adding to vegetables with enough water to barely cover. Simmer covered until potatoes are tender. Melt butter, add flour, blend and cook a minute or two. Add cream, cook and stir until thick. Add undrained vegetables and clams. Heat through. Season with salt, pepper and sugar to taste.
