1 1/2 C milk or buttermilk
3/4 c whole wheat kernels-- liquefy in blender for 4 minutes
ADD:
2 tbsp cornmeal (heaping)
1 tbsp brown sugar (heaping)
2 eggs
1/4 c margarine (1/2 stick)
Liquefy in blender for 30 seconds
ADD:
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 to 1/2 tsp baking soda (only if buttermilk is used)
Liquefy again for 3 seconds on pulse or until barely mixed. It will begin to rise, so have griddle hot and ready for cooking.
