Ingredients

3 tbsp yeast
2 c. warm water
1 qt. scalded milk
2/3 c. shortening
2/3 c. sugar
3 beaten eggs
1 tbsp salt
12 c. flour

Cooking Instructions

Mix all ingredients except flour. Add flour in 2 cup increments. Knead until soft, but not sticky. Rise till double. Roll out or pinch off amount for scone and fry in hot oil.
