Ingredients

1 lb. butter
2 cup sugar
1/2 t. salt
1 t. vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips

Cooking Instructions

Combine ingredients in heavy sauce pan. Cook to 275 deg. until light brown in color. Spread thinly on cookie sheet. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. When they are soft and pliable, spread with a spatula and then sprinkle with sliced almonds. Allow to cool for an hour or more. Break into pieces.
